@ NEW work for Viola & Accordion and Symphony Orchestra

The Turkish composer Selim Dogru (1971) was commissioned to write a new work for the DUO Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Marko Kassl (Accordion) and Symphony Orchestra. This very first composition for this combination named as Devil's Diary. The world premiere will be on the 24th of October 2008 with Anadolu Symphony Orchestra in Turkey.

@ Esra Pehlivanli with St. Petersburg String Quartet

Esra Pehlivanli will perform with Grammy Award nominee St.Petersburg String Quartet.The concert will take part in one of the world's leading music festival Robeco Zomerconcerten at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam on 26th of August.

@ NEW work for Viola and Accordion by Nico Huijbregts

The Dutch composer Nico Huijbregts (1961) completed a new work for the Viola & Accordion duo Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Marko Kassl (Accordion): “Falsche Tango” (2007) . The commission was given by the Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst. The piece will be premiered in Kunsthalle Lingen-Germany in September 2008.

@ NEW work for Viola and Accordion by Bruno Strobl

The Austrian composer Bruno Strobl (1949) composed "Wellen.Brechungen" a new work for the Viola & Accordion duo Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Marko Kassl (Accordion). The commission was given by the DUO. The premiere will take place during the Akkorde-On-Stage Festival in Salzburg October 2007.

@ NEW work for Viola and Accordion by Chiel Meijering

The Viola & Accordion duo by Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Marko Kassl (Accordion) has received two new compositions written by the Dutch composer Chiel Meijering (1954): “Amber and Cream” and “Bumelen gehen” (2007). The commission was given by the Fonds voor de Scheppende Toonkunst. "Amber and Cream" will be premiered in November 2007 in the De Schakel , Heerhugowaard -The Netherlands. "Bumelen Gehen" will be premiered in January 2008 in De Nutszaal , Enkhuizen - The Netherlands.

The renowned Slovenian composer Ivo Petric (1931) completed his new work for viola & accordion, commissioned by the DUO Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Marko Kassl (Accordion). The piece titled "Duo concertante" will be premiered in Akkorde-On-Stage Festival in Salzburg in October 2007.

@ NEW CD recording Viola & Piano

The CD- recording "Sonatas for Viola & Piano" by DUO Esra Pehlivanli (Viola) & Anastasia Safonova (Piano) has been successfully completed. The CD includes works by Clarke, Hindemith and Brahms. Details about the released will be posted soon.
